Tagged: Oh Not Again!!!

Click the images to enlarge.

This Was My View This Week.1. List 10 random things or habits on your page.

2..Tagged bloggers need to post 10 things and post these rules.

3. Choose 5 people and list their names.

4.Leave a comment on their page telling them they were tagged and to read your blog.....

Random habit number one:

I carry my camera in my handbag.

Random  habit number two:

My handbag/s are danger zones with minds of their own because whenever I place my hand inside of one I never know what I might find there.

Hence! Random Habit number three:

I can never get to my mobile phone on time because it is either smothered by other stuff in my hand bag or I just don't hear it ringing when it is probably buried under the shopping.....mmm.

Random fact number four:

I have a sticky pointer on my petrol gauge in my car and ran out of petrol just this week because of it. Need to get this fixed soon.

Random fact number five:

After nearly running out of petrol I pulled over to the side of the road using the few drops left I had in the tank and rang for my backup, God Bless Him, to get me going again. As I sat with a view of the hay paddocks in front of me, I pulled out my camera from my handbag, and took a few snaps. They will follow at the end of this tag.

Random Habit number six:

Blogging, say no more you are all as addicted as I am here.

Random Habit number seven:

I do not like my bed unmade and even when I stay away from home I love to have the bed made before going out. Maybe because of habit number eight.

Random Habit number eight:

I use the made up bed to place clothes, parcels, hand bags or what ever on it through out the day and then clear it off later or before bed. Not all the time, mainly when on vacation, because it is a big, flat surface from which to find things that don't have a home. New purchases, changed clothes anything that can be placed quickly and  are easily grabbed from off the bed, Very handy when you are in and out all day and probobly in a hurry too!

Random Habit number nine:

I am a star gazer and moon lover and off the beaten track kinda girl, so at anytime whilst out, I might take a detour just to enjoy the view and ambiance of the moment.

Random Fact number ten:

I have been known to be late, on more than one occasion and it will amaze you that this house is: A house full of clocks and that they come in all shapes and sizes, some even chime. Why late? That's an internal clock problem of mine. Only kidding!!

I won't tag you all, however if you do wish to participate please let me know in the comments section of this post.

Thank you Yvonne for the music and the tag.

This was my view as I waited for the petrol. A farmer came along to move his sheep nearby and I could not help but take a photo of his dog proudly waiting on the motor bike as the farmer asked if everything was alright. Cute EH?

I hope you enjoy this 16 year old Aussie girls song below.

Tagged!!!!!

Tagged!!! Tagged!!! Then maybe Tagged!! Again?

.

Sarah has tagged me and so has Thalia and before I am tagged again let me say after nearly a year of blogging I have been tagged enough LOL.

Thalia’s tag:

Post a blog of your own with directions of how to play the game, list 6 weird facts about yourself .Who ever is tagged has to choose 6 people, list their names and then post something in their comment boxes letting them know that they have been tagged.

Sarah’s Tag:

Each player starts with 7 random facts/habits about themselves.

People who are tagged need to write on their blog about their 7 things as well as these rules. (I am going to do more than 7 because I am bored!)

At the end of your blog, you have to choose 7 other people to tag and list their names. - Don’t forget to leave them a comment to let them know that they've been tagged and to read your blog.

I will do a tag to answer both these tags and try for the seven questions.

Do not feel obliged to do this tag unless you feel it to be fun and wish to have a go at it either in my comments section here or on your own blog page.

Number 1 weird/fact/habit

When I was a young girl of about 6 I loved to ride my 3-wheeler bike down the footpath out the front of our house. At the time I had a broken arm but that would not stop me from whizzing down the path which had a slight decline to it as it passed the front of our house. I remember coming in from school and being told if I am riding my bike not to ride it without my shoes. The shoes were not on my feet when I whizzed down the path that day with my feet out from the pedals whilst steering the bike with the one good arm and the other one in a sling.

Well the bike went all wobbly and I tried to get my feet back onto the pedals and as I did my second to smallest toe was chopped neatly off and left hanging by a slither of skin. I remember feeling remorseful all the way to hospital for not wearing my shoes as had been requested of me. So the old ether went over my face and the toe was stitched back on, only to turn black and back I went for more ether and a total toe removal. Today I heard of a man cutting his hand off with a chainsaw and he placed the hand into the fridge while he awaited help. As the procedure for reconnecting lost limbs and digits has advanced to such high success rates, I am sure he will have a good chance of success with this reconnection. Moral of the story: I hated the smell of the ether back then thank goodness things have progressed in the medical field and I am still less half a small toe.

Number 2 fact:

I met Prince Charles at an afternoon tea function many years ago and had a lovely little chat to him about the brooch I was wearing on my outfit. The brooch had small feathers on it, as part of its design and The Prince told me what type of feathers they were. All in all a very short, sweet, encounter and The Prince was very charming indeed.

Number 3 fact:

Whilst on a trip to a deserted tropical island in Fiji, a small group of us thought we would cir cum navigate the island whilst the crew from our catamaran cooked our food. We were told that when we heard the blast from the big Kauri shell horn, that lunch was about to be served and we were to come back to the shelter hut for lunch. The circumnavigation became quite a chore after the initial spell binding moments we shared with the local hermit crabs and fauna. As it turned out the back of the island had no sandy beach and was submerged in seawater right up to the land with no beach to walk on. Rather than retreat back we thought it was only a small walk, swim to get around and then we would be back for our lunch. Oh yes we were fully clothed BTW. As we neared the end of our journey after falling down into under water crevices and fighting whatever else we encountered underwater we all finally arrived after lunch had been eaten, by those who were less adventurous and had stayed behind. Well!, suffice to say they did leave us some food. There were four of us explorers and we were invited to eat with the captain and crew who were about to eat and we were given some of the native food that they were eating, to try also. All in all a very wondrous experience, the whole day turned out to be exciting to say the least.

Number 4 fact/weird:

Never ask me to sing Karaoke. I love to sing in the car to my cd’s or to the songs on the radio. In fact you could catch me singing at anytime.

The problem is my singing is so pathetic that at a party once, which was in full swing with Karaoke machine blarring, I was left with one other participant with whom to sing along. Everyone else cleared out. LOL.

Number 5 Fact:

I just love antique shops and snooping around looking at all and everything, and I also enjoy the Antique shows that we now see here on TV. Like Antique Road Show etc. I have a collection of books that identifies antiques and I can refer to the books anytime I wish to know about something. I do have a few unique items and generally these days I am particular what I buy.

Number 6 Fact:

When I was young and not particularly experienced at driving I was in a position to be on the end of a towrope in a car I had never driven before. Everything was progressing well until the car that was towing me stopped at a stop sign. I went for the brake to stop the car and as I pushed nothing happened I just kept going. The back of the car was looming close and I quickly jerked the car around to the other cars drivers side. That’s the right side here of the car. The tow rope slack caught up and I jerked to a stop right next to the driver of the towing vehicle. A look of total amazement ensued as I explained how the brakes had failed. When I was asked which pedal I was pushing down on I realised I was pushing in the clutch instead of the brake Big Duhh!!!! Moment. Thankfully I had averted a big mishap by my quick thinking LOLLL.

Number 7 Fact/habit/weird:

I love to go out and about camera in hand and snap unusual photos. Especially of old buildings and nature, children, people and just about anything really. The picture above is of a gypsy caravan, (I have a fascination for gypsies) and I would love to move around like a gypsy photographing and writing and journaling about my adventures as I go. That’s my dream!!

Milli 2007 and consider yourselves tagged.

Tagged by Vinod! A Few of My Favourite Things!

I have been tagged by Vinod to list five things in my bedroom.
Apart from all the usual bedroom furniture and accessories, there are a few interesting objects, books, and pictures to talk about.
Also
List four things you like about yourself.
List three of your favorite pastimes.
List three of your favorite quotes.
If you are hearing music playing then it is from my previous post and the music is Secret Garden.
The framed prints above are from a shop in Sydney that specialised in prints from an artist called Alison. On a vacation I found her shop and loved her art work so much that I decided to buy these 4 small prints in the one frame. They are paintings from different venues around Sydney. I was born in Sydney and this little collection remains a favorite. Also in the front is a Book I bought at an airport for something to read on the flight. I love it it's called
Shakespeare on Love.
A quote from this book as one of my quotes is:
What is Love
Silvius " it is to be all made of fantasy.
All made of passion and all made of wishes"
My butterfly lady lamp represents my work and the transformation I think that was made possible for many women, through my chosen career.
Ah! yes more books.
The top one is A Guide for the Advanced Soul.
It is actually a whole book of quotes however I will open it as it says and ponder a moment and
then write the quote ' 2 ' that I open it to :
Be like a very small joyous child
living gloriously in the ever present Now
without a single worry or concern
about even the next moment of time.
Eileen Caddy
The Dawn of Change.
I also love this Oval Wall Plaque.
Many years ago I attended an all day workshop and this was my creation.
Using the technique of decoupage I started with raw materials and not only did I paint the frame but also made the dimensional effect of the flowers sitting up from the basket, by using a type of modeling clay. We still do the layering of decoupage but with extra help from the built up and painted clay, The flowers stand out and are not all flat on the surface like normal decoupage. The desired effect was to make this piece look antique and as if it has been handed down through the generations. Actually it worked out very well. One day it may become an heirloom piece.
Let me talk some more about the books from my stack in the photo above.
The Alchemist is there.
As is a very old copy of the Art of Loving, so old in fact it is falling apart.
Then there is a children's book called "Love is a Special Way of Feeling'
I found it at a stall and it is such a sweet little book printed in 1965.
Now I must list three favorite pastimes.
I think reading and writing just might show up as favorites.
Travelling is another and that can . even mean discovering my own back yard.
Actually there are many, many more than three I can not forget that I do so much enjoy the interaction I have here on 360 with my friends.
Thank You Friends.
List four things you like about yourself.
My sense of fun and humour.
My open mind.
My ability to comprehend and understand with empathy.
I love that I can see" that the glass is half full and not half empty."
Last quote:
The foundation of beauty is the heart and every generous thought
illustrates the walls of your chamber.
Francis Quarles.
.......

Cheers Milli.
