My Photo Of The Day ~ Frogs?

I love Frogs.

Frogs are such fun. A little Frog has hopped back into our pond in the front garden again and continues to croak throughout the night. This never bothers me although I know some people do not like frogs nor do they like their croaking sounds. I on the other hand being a little girl of nature way back when, loved my little excursions to the local creek in search of frogs and tadpoles with my friends and sibblings.

Today's Photo Of The Day is a Fun photo of Frogs Just Hangin with each other in The Fair Ground.

I like the new way of posting in Multiply and thank the Multiply people for making posting more pleasurable in this new format.

As a Little Bonus I have added a little froggy quiz. If you want to have some fun then just try it out ad come back and let me know what

Kind of Frog You Are...

I'm a Firebellied Toad!
These colorful toads are very active and fun for beginner pet owners. They enjoy spending their day swimming and singing with other frogs of their species and become more active when not alone. Weird fact: Firebellied toads cannot extend their tongues like other toads or frogs. To feed, they must leap forward and catch their prey with their mouths. After they have grabbed a cricket or worm with their mouth, they usually use their fore-arms to help stuff food the rest of the way in. Then they squish their eyeballs down in their heads to push the food into their throat.

What kind of Frog are you?

Oh and before I go a little frog joke.

A beautiful princess was walking in the forrest by a stream when she noticed a little frog wearing a crown on his head.
As she bent down she spoke softly to him and said.
" You are a handsome prince just waiting for your special princess to kiss you and make you human again."
With that the Frog Jumped back suddenly exclaiming loudly..
" NO! NO! You can not do that because I am now a respectable and happily married frog with hundreds of little frog children."

This cute joke puts another slant on the story of the Frog Prince. It seems there are advantages in being a Frog Prince after all.
Milli.

  4. I adore your photo Milli, is feels so happy.

Red-eyed tree frogs come from the warm and humid rain forests of Costa Rica in Central America. Some believe that their red eyes are a form of protection called "startle coloration". These frogs are very mellow during the day, and tend to be active only at night, so if the frog is awakened in the daytime, as might happen if a predator chanced upon it despite its excellent day time camouflage, the eyes pop abruptly open, hopefully startling the predator. This species tends to do better in a community of other red eyed tree frogs. What kind of Frog are you?

  12. Yes there is sadly to say. I think everyone gets caught up in their own take on what is happening world wide and forget to see the beauty around them. To me colour is magic because it has the power to instantly change your mood, as does nature and all of the different creatures.

  13. Also known as the Smiling Tree Frog or Dumpy Tree Frog due to the nature of its appearance, this frog is a very hardy creature and a favorite pet of amateur frog owners, although some pet owners complain that they are not active enough. These frogs love to eat, which can make them quite fat, hence their "dumpy" appearance. Unlike many frogs, these frogs do well with other frogs of their species and are fairly friendly. They like a warm and moderately humid habitat and eat larger insects like crickets, cockroaches, locusts, moths and beetles. What kind of Frog are you?

    This was really fun Milli.
Quess i will go and catch me a cockroach for dinner. Lol !!!

  17. The African bullfrog, or Pixie frog as it is often called (because of it's latin name, not because it's as cute as a fairy!), is one of the largest frogs in South Africa. Usually, they hang out in open grassland, and if there are any to be found, they'll sit around in puddles. When startled, these frogs will blow up like balloons to scare away the intruder! In the dry season, they will burrow into the ground. These guys eat lots and lots of really big bugs, fish, mice, lizards, and even other frogs. What kind of Frog are you?

LOL!!! who would have thunk I could be this frog :P. Love the pic :)
