Images & Words # Pot of Luck ~ Week 60

Thank You Joel for this week's Choice for Images and Words.

I have chosen the Pot Luck theme.

Last week I drove down past the river at sunrise on my way to work and I missed the most amazing reflection of a rainbow on the flat mirror like water. I had no time to stop. So it was a delight for me to come across another rainbow not in exactly the same spot as before but still showing clearly across the river. I had lamented over the loss of the chance to capture the rainbow the week before. This time I was not going to miss the opportunity to photograph my 'pot of luck' because it seems I was given a second chance of being in the right place at the right time yet again yesterday morning.

  1. Gorgeous Milli... and the words can't be any truer. Sometimes the beauty right in front of you is worth more then any pot of gold.

  8. Milli, this is lovely!

I'm not looking for any pot of gold along life's way, but if I should just stumble over one, while enjoying all of those beautiful colors, I wouldn't complain!

  22. Beautiful photo! I also tried to photograph a rainbow over glassy water, but the pond was busy with birds and also a little boy fishing with his dad and grandad--who could be upset about a heartwarming scene like that? I did get the rainbow and it's non-mirror like reflection just before it faded.

I love the soft light on the landscape in your photo :-)

    Thank you for visiting mine.
