Amy is our Hostess this week and the theme is Food and Drink.
I do have photos of the food I have prepared here at home, however I have opted for a fantastic view I was privileged to witness last week, of a local raptor, as he devoured his prized morsel for the day, wild rabbit.
Food fit for a Wedge Tailed Eagle.
Very interesting the way you presented this photo. I have some photos of a local hawk eating a rabbit but not as interesting as this one. Quite creative.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lynda I was watching this less than a metre away..Amazing to see. Look at his talons.
ReplyDeletewould love to see the whole bird....this is an awesome shot
ReplyDeletein the US it is illegal to hold eagles captive
This bird is one of only two eagles kept at a local eco shelter for native birds of prey. They are only ever tethered for the Free Flight Presentation. You are correct we would not be able to keep one of these birds either. I have a bigger photo and will make an album soon with the other birds I was privileged to see up close and personal.
ReplyDeleteAH, someone is feeding the bird wearing a glove? What an interesting shot Milli!
