Images & Words Week 49 ~ A Birds Eye View Of Food.

Amy is our Hostess this week and the theme is Food and Drink.

Images & Words 49

I do have photos of the food I have prepared here at home, however I have opted for a fantastic view I was privileged to witness last week, of a local raptor, as he devoured his prized morsel for the day, wild rabbit.

Food fit for a Wedge Tailed Eagle.

  1. Very interesting the way you presented this photo. I have some photos of a local hawk eating a rabbit but not as interesting as this one. Quite creative.

  4. This bird is one of only two eagles kept at a local eco shelter for native birds of prey. They are only ever tethered for the Free Flight Presentation. You are correct we would not be able to keep one of these birds either. I have a bigger photo and will make an album soon with the other birds I was privileged to see up close and personal.

  10. Wonderful photo! Did he catch the rabbit and bring it back to his handler? Or did the handler feed him? In any case it's a great shot!

Thanks for your contribution to the potluck :-)
