Images and Words # Favourite Things

This weeks Images and Words Theme is kindly supplied by Joel

Representing a few of our favourite things and how can I not place Raindrops or Roses into my I&W this week. Raindrops refresh and roses give pleasure, joy and add so much beauty to their surroundings. Also another plus for me is the fact that, nothing smells better than fresh raindrops on a perfumed rose. Ah yes Raindrops on Roses,

'These are A Few Of My Favourite Things'

I have to agree here with the original song sung by Julie, these truly are a few of my Favourite Things...

  1. Emerson's statement sounds good, but sometimes things enter our minds under the guise of something that they're not with deliberate intention to confuse or do harm.

    I love the song.

  2. Yea! I came so close to doing raindrops on roses but I opted for hot air balloons instead. I'm so glad that you did the raindrops on roses, and what a gorgeous rose! It's tight in the center but loose outside, perfect :-)

  3. Beautiful shot, spectacular even. Don't tell anyone, as it doesn't sound very manly, but I have a weekend for raindrops on roses also. SHhhhh, our secret. I love your Emerson quote as well..

  4. Thanks Cal for the visit. Basically what he is saying is that we do have choices as to what we take on board and what we don't.
Even if there is a deliberate intention to do harm or confuse there is always a choice to be made by the individual as to how they allow it to affect them.
The song is joyful and I love it too. When the dog bites well maybe we were not paying enough attention to our choices?

  13. A statement made with the illusion that the mind has not been influenced by others.
From birth onwards, everyone influences our mind in some way before we know what choice is.
Just one single God with three major variations, are willing to hack each other to death.
    Children brainwashed from birth.
The Rose reminds us of we lucky ones who have partial mental freedom.
