Pete's Picks this week is the theme of
I
scattered
the seeds
Of my friendship trees
Some of them germinated
And began to grow
Others were stilted
Nothing happened,
It was all very slow
The ones that flourished
and grew and grew
Were the baby trees
I nurtured so very carefully
And one of those friendship trees
Could possibly be you!
My trees are my friends
And a fine grove they make
As we share with each other
Some of the good and the bad
Our friendships are blessed most positively
In the premise of
Both to give and to take.
Whilst nurturing my trees
I always remember that they
Need my love and my care,
Humour and friendliness
Because this is what friendship trees,
Especially share.
So to all these precious friendship trees in my grove
I am sending my special thanks and a Big Dose of Love.
Milli 09

ReplyDeleteI love your poem and am honoured to claim myself as a new shoot on one of your many branches.
ReplyDeleteSurely you are the most benevolent of Foresters and from your clear Dell I seldom range.
I will shine at your foot one day through the branches of light you make for us all.
Dear Milli. Thank you.
The seeds of love that you sowed will return tenfold what you nourished....
