it IS winter now under isn't it....St Vincent is calm this evening from the looks of it..you always take great pics
ReplyDeleteNice job Milli I still have not quite got the hang of haiku's
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. I (like Naarta) haven't a clue when it comes o Haiku's.....I am Haiku challenged for myself :) But yours was stunning.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Mili
ReplyDeletethe red afterglow looks glorious in your photo!
ReplyDeleteI really love the photo and words to match!
ReplyDeleteLove the juxtaposition of the Bench with the background.. it sits smack dab in the middle, dominating black with the land, water and mountains(?) of grey, leaving the glow alone. Love the pic and the Words are in sync with it.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Rashmi I rushed down for this sunset over the water last night. So the grey is the water. When I left the sky turned red and normally I would have got that shot but I left to go home in a hurry because I did not lock the house LOL. Don't tell anyone I said that.
ReplyDeleteOh I really love this photo and your words...
ReplyDeleteI want to sit here awhile and feel the glow
The photo is breathtaking and so are the words
ReplyDeleteOh a few ways I could interpret this. Two people, embraced by the evening, sat on the bench awaiting the sun to burst it's last fiery light and the red after-glow. This is so really romantic and sensual in how I pick up your thread. What I see are two people in intimacy reaching their peak and than that romantic after-glow. This is very nice! I used free interpretation ... I hope that's OK with you. Anyway ... loved it!

I love it...the photo is also excellent...winter gone, spring in the offing...
ReplyDeleteThat's very pretty.
ReplyDeleteYou've captured such beauty in both your poem and photograph. Makes me want to be right there sitting on that bench. Thank you for sharing and thank you too for your comment on mine :).
ReplyDeleteI particularly like your photo.
ReplyDeleteI like.
ReplyDeleteHi Milli. Meeting nearly after a month, as I was not participating much due to my wife's illness.
ReplyDeleteNow. Your Haiku on sunset and photograph are beautiful, as usual. Thanks for sharing. Mine is at - http://jayaramanms.multiply.com/journal/item/254/CREATIVE_CHALLENGE_17
Very nice indeed Milli, and i love your pic: it compliments your words beautifully. The pic is very dreamy and poignant
ReplyDeleteThe photo compliments the words which define the picture. The empty bench also seems to be waiting as your haiku pulls me in waiting the after glow, is it sunset or a warm heart sitting close? or both!. Loved this, wow awesome girl...
