Haiku ? (1993)

Sweet breath of your mouth

Warm breezes, tall red wildflowers

Sweet fire of my loins

Gone

My lady has left
The inextinguishable
flame of her love
was but a firefly

  4. Milli, your page is magnificent, a work of art!
Well, a haiku is a 5-7-5 syllable scheme so these are technically not haiku, but they are lovely shorties and paint beautiful pictures. I see their visions lined up in little picture frames...

  7. A quick note here...The above verse by Richard may not be a technical correct as a haiku and that is why the question mark. the other short poem is not placed as a haiku. The top writing is my own and although not also technically correct it is a part of my own learning process to write good haiku. I am very happy for anyone here who visits to leave their own haiku about the images in this comment section.
Thank you my dear friends and visitors for your appreciation.

If you really want us into it, well, let's give it a shot:
    .........................................................................................................................................(thinking)

    Fresh blazing poppies
    consume my fields of sense
    innocently

    Hmmm......
Thank you so much for the challenge!!!

    Have a blistering day! :)
