The photo I am using here is of a car that caught my eye as we drove along the highway from Sydney to Adelaide. Not too far up the highway, well actually the photo was taken at Moss Vale a few hours out of Sydney, we stopped and so did the well loved Ford Custom line. I had my camera handy and could not resist taking this photo. It was late in the afternoon heading towards evening and you can see the shadows across the car and also across the footpath. These are the elongated late afternoon type shadows

There is even the shadow on the wall of the lady walking by.

The car an eye catching two door coupe was the pride and joy of its owner/ restorer. I hope Nicko is seeing this post?.

Now there is another reason for this post. This week in Adelaide we have the Clipsal 500 Car Race and it is a very big event for those who follow the car racing calendar. This is the V8 Super Car series and tomorrow they take to the street circuit around Adelaide, for practice sessions and qualifying races the big races taking place through the weekend..

This promises to be a big weekend here with more also on our agenda. The Adelaide Fringe Festival starting here also on the 22^ND of February is the biggest Fringe Festival to date beginning with a party bringing tens of thousands of revelers to the East End of Adelaide. Fringe artists, including Cycology performer Linsey Pollack who will perform at the party and at strategically located street stages, giving everyone a glimpse of the Fringe draw cards for 2008.

How opposite can you get in one not so big city? Yes we can do it and do it well.

Then in March 7^Th until 9Th we haveWOMADelaide in the Botanic Park and I have been to this in the past and loved every single minute I have spent there and that being more often than not the full weekend.

Now this is only a taste of the feast that our fine city will put on over the next few weeks and even though I have rambled off from myPicture Perfect Photo above, I do hope you will excuse my excitement because I am off to stand in the Shadows and watch this exciting world in front of me go by.
