Mr Bean on Holiday. A movie waiting to be seen?

Thank you everyone who contributed to the fantastic weekend theme party using your alter ego supper hero on your post or avatar or both. I think we all had a ball and I know that many new friends were made in the process of meeting and mingling at our party.

I got a chance in between the activities to view Mr Bean in action in his movie Mr Beans Holiday…to the Beach!!!

Rowan Atkinson is at his offbeat best in this movie. I laughed myself silly in parts of the movie.

Where as sometimes Bean drives me to the brink of annoyance, this movie actually had enough slapstick comedy combined with some extremely good visuals to keep most of me, pretty happy and laughing heartily.

I loved the little yellow mini car and I do have one in the garage, although its not going at the moment. The movie has set me on a project to get it up and on the road again. LOL Oops a touch of Texas there. Sorry Willie.

We are mini fanatics in this family and there is a mini panel van, a few mini mokes, an early model Morris mini sedan and the 74 yellow Leyland Mini Sedan. Some are in going mode and others are in the make over department.

Because we live near a drive on beach, the little mokes are just the best little front wheel vehicles for driving onto the sandy beach on a hot day.

Now getting back to Mr Bean who is a Mini Car Man himself, I wonder how many people like him? I find some love him and I find some detest him and there seems no middle road. As a person, I think if he lived next door as a neighbour, one would be intrigued with him and call him the eccentric man next door.

At times finding him humorous and at other times testing your nerves as he would be very annoying to say the least unlike his alter ego Rowan Atkinson a very astute actor indeed. He does collect and love exotic cars by the way.

I liked this particular movie and found the character more human, even if he is still caught up in his own illusions and delusions.

This time he us videoing all of his vacation as we travel with him to the beach.

The escapades of he and others en route there, and all that the journey has in store for him and us too.

Clever really it is, to see the world through Beans unique perspective at times. LOL.
