Beauty and the Beast.
Very many years ago I entered a Mother’s Day “Sunday May 13th is Mother’s Day here in Australia†competition in a big shopping complex. Simple enough all I did was fill out a coupon and place it in to the box for the draw.
Low and behold not thinking any more about it I was contacted and told that, I was a winner and my prize was a dinner and live show production for two at a city venue.
The live show was Beauty and The Beast {this site has music and you can hear it as you read here, if you open it in another browser window} What a night of wonder we the winners proceeded to have at this exciting event in our city.
There were photos of the night however I am unable to share these, as I don’t have a scanner. We all had our photos taken with the beautiful beauty adorned in her yellow finery and the over sized beast in his costume.
Excellent food and great entertainment as the Disney magic flowed through from the cast into the audience, songs and spectacular costumes from the original production. It is thought by many that Beauty and The Beast remains one of the all time greats of the Disney animated movies and productions..
The lucky mums were all given extra gifts by the beast before leaving. It became a very memorable night and a very special celebration of Mother’s Day that year.
At the time there was a television show called Beauty and the Beast. The show is an oldie but also a goodie centred on a panel. The panel consists of a male who takes the forum, and in the past these guys have been quite gruff in their behaviours combined with four wise and wonderful women who give their personal views and answer questions from the audience.
The thought occurred to me that this could be achieved on the blogging arena and now I open my page up for a new post to come shortly called,
‘Beauty and Beast Blogging.’
I have some pretty out spoken ladies and gentlemen on my 360 friends lists and I am inviting them to put their names forward as The Panel here.
I thought any one who visits my page and leaves in the comments section or in my messages a good topic to be discussed i.e. a letter written about a particular subject that you want answered and it can be personal or a general topic or an open discussion about something that you want aired. I am happy to facilitate this and get it started.
I don’t want to start a war of the roses scenario; there fore I will monitor both the answers and the replies to a certain degree. I will encourage good humour and fun as well as sound advice from the panel.
The best way to open this up is to ask any of my friends who would wish to be on this panel starting next week end Saturday the 15th of May to let me know ASAP. Just to waver away from the original concept I will choose a different panel each week unless I am running short of volunteers. Some weeks we may have a beauty and four beasts on the panel. I am hoping that my friends will rally around for what I see can be a bit of blogging informative fun.
The immediate target is to get some really good topics happening and I am asking for topics from all my friends to be left in comments section below or sent as a message.
Mine is an open page meaning that anyone can contribute to this forum and panel and the topics are open to comment. In fact I encourage you all to comment as this will be a great way to have a say and be heard. Don’t be shy.
Let’s get the ball rolling and I am expecting to have volunteers like, Sankaran, Sharon, Shail, Dani, Pia, Vinod, Lone Duck, Rita, FTC Brenny, Jacqui, Nick, Melisa, Mr Three, Chandra, Rajni, Arfie, Yobbo Mate, Herb Master, Nicholas, Globetrotter, Dude, Cris Christopher, Deb, Debbie, Aimless joy, Dr Lynn, Adoremouse, Smile, Ganesh, Raj, Susan, Di, Macky, Rainyday, Dreamland, Chand, Carol,…. In fact all of my wonderful 360 friends and favourites are invited to participate.
