This is a local Parrot and I photographed it as it was sitting in my apple tree. They are very skittish so you have to either have a telescopic lens for a good caapture or sneak up quietly and try not to be seen with a point and shoot and this is how I got this capture shooting through the branches of the apple tree. They have a shrill call and when I hear it I usually have a look out side to see where it is coming from. They usually fly in pairs or a group and possibly this one had been eating the left over fruit.
