Welcome To 2011 & Creative Challenge 134 Illusions

Welcome to my first Creative Challenge post for 2011

Times have been Happily hectic in this Holiday period and exciting moments have been interspersed with wonderful and memorable moments spent with near and dear ones.

I would like to dedicate this little poem to Our New Baby Grandson

Cameron James born on the night of the 29th of December 2010.

Let there be no illusions, let there be light and love and new beginnings Made Good from Mankinds earlier mistakes.

And

An effort by all to create the best for our future and our kith and kin.

Milli 11

In A Better World.

I am a realist
No illusions for me
As much as I'd like
The world to see

The other side of the coin
So to speak
Where peaceful progress
Can be maintained
And where all that is good
Has remained
Intact for our generations to come.

I would gladly contribute
My pennies worth
To make amends
For all wrongs done
To our bountiful earth

I want a Happy Future
For all Our kin
The selfishness of these days
Our Greatest Sin

Could we throw all selfishness
Into the wind
Caught in the heavens
Forever to rescind

Then maybe this desire of mine
An Empowering All Call
Will not be an illusion
After all.

Milli 11.
