We Are Better Than This.

Scott Kelly said.
"As I look out the window, I see a very beautiful planet that seems very inviting and peaceful," said Cmdr Kelly. "Unfortunately, it is not.

"These days, we are constantly reminded of the unspeakable acts of violence and damage we can inflict upon one another, not just with our actions but also with our irresponsible words."

"We are better than this. We must do better," he said

Thank You Scott Kelly for Telling the World from your vantage place in space,

That

 WE ARE BETTER THAN THIS.

How Poignant ARE Your Words.

Expedition 26 Commander Scott Kelly aboard the International Space Station initiates a moment of silence for the victims of the tragic shooting in Tucson.

  1. I wish all mankind could see her as Scott and his fellow astronauts sees the Earth. What a wonderful place it would be.

  6. The violence is one thing which I abhor but the fact is, he has addressed the other side of the coin and that is irresponsible words and how damaging, irresponsible words are in our lives. Good on him for speaking so frankly.

  18. His words are so powerful not only because of his unique position in space, but also because Gabby Giffords is his sister-in-law.

Political debate should make us better people, not worse.

  27. Ok Z....amazing how this whole thing worked out...she is his sister in-law and he was in such a great position to speak not only from his heart but with the backing of all those others who are up there with him. Some things are meant to be, in my thoughts anyway.
