1936 walking up the steps of a Pullman Coach on legs covered with silk fully fashioned stockings, yes I've seen them. Using a button hook was my first training step as a two year old. lol All Aboard.
Resplendent in their silken gowns with hats that should be seen. I loved the time when the rich were rich when interest reigned supreme.
I loved the time when the rich were rich a Pullman coach a sight to see. Standing in the station there waiting just for me.
The rich would sip from glasses lit by just the warmest glow From table lamps with reddened shades as I remember so.
oh my! I love your shoes and the poem! ( I had reproduction shoes like this to go with my antebellum style wedding gown... it surprised everyone when my garter was slipped off and the shoes were revealed.)
I love this shot Milli. Definitely vintage. Love the black and white it gives them even more of a vintage effect. I love the angle you shot this at too. How would you like to walk in these shoes? Cute little poem : }
Thanks for the visit Bert. The old shoes are in the passage way of an old homestead nearby. It still has many of the old family treasures throughout the home. I asked if I might take a couple of photos of these shoes and also the passageway through the home and my request was accepted. So actually this was a privilege for me because it is a private house.
Ah, pretty shoes Milli, but are they comfy? lol. Love the shot and the B&W conversion! Great verse too...
