Full Moon Rising 21/12/2010 Australia

No Lunar Eclipse view from my part of the world but a Glorious Full Moon Non the Less.

Full Moon Rising as Viewed Through

The Eucalypt Cineria Branches.

I am sure that my friends in the Northern Hemisphere had a truly beautiful Lunar Eclipse

To photograph and I can't wait to see your efforts.

  1. The eclipse didn't even start here till 2:30 a.m., and by that time I was snoring away! No pics from me, but I sure hope someone got it - maybe someone on the west coast?

  2. Ah I see, thanks Joanne. It was visible in some of our Eastern states but it seems we were either too far south or to far west for a view.
The full moon was still quite glorious to view in its own right.

  3. Wonderful shot Milli. I was ready to take pics but Mother Nature had other plans. Despite the fact that I live in the desert, its been overcast and raining since last Friday. Frankly, I've had enough -_-.

  4. Amazing Sue..will you see the benefit of this rain when the wild flowers bloom?
Tonight here was clear after a cloudy start in the morning. As I sit and type it is still and I am hearing the little frog croaking out loud in the drain pipe across the road..it seems the full moon has him singing lol..hope you have blue skies there again soon.

  5. Yeah, I guess I'll enjoy the flowers in the spring. My disappointment stems from the fact that I'll never get the chance to view a lunar eclipse on a winter solstice. The last one happened hundreds of years ago. By the time it happens again I'll be decomposing :-))).

But you know, those gorgeous flowers sure will fill your photo albums soon enough..giggle!

  8. Thats a stunning picture ... simply beautiful.
A couple of friends of mine have managed to capture the eclipse .... must say it looked amazing. I sadly missed it as the warmth of my bed at that hour was far more inticing!

  11. Wonderful shot! Unfortunately, the moon was hid by clouds just as the moment arrived.
