Tourism Australia has just released it's new add campaign to lure visitors from over seas to our unique country.
This is the new TV commercial probably playing in your country now.
As a forerunner to this campaign Australians were encouraged to send in photos of their personal choice destinations in their home country and by the end of the campaign there were over 29,000 entries from Aussies just like me, who by the way entered two of my local photos, and the end result of this amazing effort by my fellow Aussies and I can be seen here Nothinglikeaustralia.

We may be at the bottom of the globe but we stand tall and proudly so too.

Above is one of my submitted photos of the feeding Wedge tail eagle.
The Photo above is from my personal collection taken by me.
The photo above is of a native plant called the Kangaroo Paw
Another photo of mine of
A Local Beach
Photo from my personal album of a sunset taken from our coast line.
I have two photos posted on the add campaign site. The one of the eagle above and another taken in a local winery set amongst the red roses in the winery garden. I wonder if you will find it?
Tell me your thoughts about this add campaign, would it temp you?
I will be very interested to know.

I'm very proud of you Milli. As an Australian Ambassador here on Multiply you have certainly increased my interest in your neck of the woods. Not only is it a stunning place with amazing wildlife but the people you have opened my eyes to are lovely as well. Keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteThank You Ren, I find that your comment is a real compliment. You have travelled to many places across the globe and I am sure that you would find Australia to be a very satisfying destination. I learn much from you too as you travel to exciting places and share your interesting photos with us all on your multiply blog.
ReplyDeleteAwww cute Milli, and I love your photo of the girl on the post, haven't seen that one before! And your sunset shot of course, the words are awesome too!
ReplyDeleteTried twice to get there.
ReplyDeleteOnce in 1947 when in S/Pore I told my wife I would meet her there.
Second time in 1954 when I told her I would take her mum and dad.
My advanced planning was rejected both times.
Lovely shots - would love to come for a visit at some time in the future.
ReplyDeletethe video is of course very nice, but it's a musical and a bit too smiling and cheerful, a realistic soul will be aware that this is published to make people come as tourists australia.
ReplyDeletecongrats with the chosen images! it's always a great feeling :)
you are so good at catching different moods!
you deserve it!
i've always wanted to visit australia, and my attitude remains unchanged, also after this blog :)
I haven't seen any of these commercials here yet, although I did enjoy the one in the vid. I wouldn't need any additional persuading, as Australia is on my list of places to visit anyway!!

ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to see Australia, haven't seen the ad, as long as there isn't as much singing! lol

ReplyDeleteI haven't seen any of these commercials as of yet but I don't watch that much network TV. If I was a world traveler I always thought your country would be my first choice. Congrats on a couple of your photos being chosen.
ReplyDeleteit tempts me very much! your country is very beautiful and the people there seem so very friendly! and I do know a few friends from online that are Australians and of course they are lovely people! :) one day when I have the money I want to come visit, the problem is the enormous air fare it would take!
