Picture Perfect~ Oldie But Goody.

It is nearly ten years ago but I still remember the happy times spent in New Zealand.

I found my cd of photos from the trip recently and decided to use this photo of the Queenstown Steamship TSS Earnslaw.

Such a memorable and happy time spent cruising through the mist on Lake Wakatipu in this delightful old turn of the century vessel.

Of particular interest was the old piano at the front of the boat where many of us congregated around the old piano and sang old songs from a small song book, as the resident pianist belted out the music on the good old ivories. Ah! it was like magic and an experience never to be forgotten. Oldies and Goodies and Fond Memories,

Always.

  6. Reminds me of Huck Finn and Tom Sawyer on the old Mississippi. I think I need to get them out and read again. What fun you must have had.

  11. I have made 3 trips to New Zealand, What an awesome country. Part of my heart resides there. I also did this trip, sang those old songs on the sail back to Queenstown. This picture brings back such wonderful memories of my trips there. And Queenstown itself...what a beautiful location. I could go on and on about this beautiful country and the wonderful people who are lucky enough to call it "home".
