She was an Australian Indigenous artist who started her life out as a child of the stolen generation. She and her husband Archie Roach were talented musicians and song writers. she has just passed away from a Heart Attack. GBHS.

  4. This is indeed sad news Milli....
    Both Ruby and Archie were great performers, and without them, a lot of Aboriginal musicians would not have been able to show their talents.
    These two l0vely people have worked a lifetime to have Aboriginal musicians intergrated into "mainstream" Australia .....Yothu Yindi is one band Archie pushed into the front spotlight.....

    I believe That Ruby was good friends with Federal Senator Peter Garrett, former singer and front man, of 'Midnight Oil' band, and his wife.

  7. That's sad Milli, I haven't heard her before but a lovely singer indeed.
    The most touching movie I've ever seen is "A Rabbit-Proof Fence",
    such an incredible story....
