An Update on the Black Colt.

Little Bo and Mother Rose

Bo is chewing the wire

A lively little colt

He is now doing very well

After a rough start.

Born 25/09/09

This little black colt has had a few hiccups in the last few months,

However little Rain Dancer ( his full name ) Rainbow is his given name and Bo for short, is now very healthy and starting to shed his baby down and as you can see is developing his new colour and features.

I will keep you updated through 2010.

  1. Love the photo. The dam is looking at her son as if she is saying you silly fellow. Those colts are so mouthy. Everything in their mouth. So cute the way they do it.

  3. Do ya know why horses chew on the wire?
Well, before man fenced them in, horses used to chew on trees, as a means of sharpening their teeth.....but now, wire does it easier and faster.....
    Horses are adaptable too...............................................

  4. I find this comment so interesting, like human babies, during the time we explore the world around us with our mouths.

  5. What an alert and good looking young man. Looking forward to the updates and more pictures. To me, Mom seems to be saying: "Don't even think about it kid!!!" young Mr. Dancer does seem to be thinking intently about something. . .something mischievous. . .

  13. He is such a cutie! Yes, just like human babies - and puppies too, as we're finding out again with our newest little guy - everything goes in the mouth for investigation first. Our little guy loves to chew on pine needles and paper. He's going to be such a handsome lad and has all the looks getting there right now. I'd love to see more photos of your son and daughter-in-law's horses - especially this little love - as well. They are gorgeous! Thanks for the update! It's always nice to know when they're on their way to a good healthy life. Take good care of you! Hugs!
