I hope that you enjoy my presentation for Triple Play this week---
BE
JONATHAN LIVINGSTON SEAGULL
Written by Neil Diamond
BE
Lost
On a painted sky
Where the clouds are hung
For the poet's eye
You may find him
If you may find him
There
On a distant shore
By the wings of dreams
Through an open door
You may know him
If you may
Be
As a page that aches for a word
Which speaks on a theme that is timeless
While the Sun God will make for your day
Sing
As a song in search of a voice that is silent
And the one God will make for your way
And we dance
To a whispered voice
Overheard by the soul
Undertook by the heart
And you may know it
If you may know it
While the sand
Would become the stone
Which begat the spark
Turned to living bone
Holy, holy
Sanctus, sanctus
Be
As a page that aches for a word
Which speaks on a theme that is timeless
While the Sun God will make for your day
Sing
As a song in search of a voice that is silent
And the one God will make for your way
LONELY LOOKING SKY
Lonely looking sky
Lonely sky, lonely looking sky
And bein' lonely
Makes you wonder why
Makes you wonder why
Lonely looking sky
Lonely looking sky
Lonely looking sky
Lonely looking night
Lonely night, lonely looking night
And bein' lonely
Never made it right
Never made it right
Lonely looking night
Lonely looking night
Lonely looking night
Sleep we sleep
For we may dream
While we may
Dream we dream
for we may wake
One more day
One more day
Glory looking day
Glory day, glory looking day
And all it's glory
Told a simple way
Behold it if you may
Glory looking day
Glory looking day
Lonely looking night
SKY BIRD
Sky bird
Make your sail
And every heart will know
Of the tale
Songbird
Make you tune
For none may sing it
Just as you do
Look at the way I glide
Caught on the wind's lazy tide
Sweetly how it sings
Rally each heart at the sight
Of you silver wings
Sky bird, skybird
Nightbird
Find your way
For none may know it
just as you may
ANTHEM
Sanctus
Kyrie
Sanctus
Kyrie
Kyrie Gloria
Gloria Holy
Holy, Holy
Gloria
Sanctus
Kyrie
Sanctus
Kyrie
Kyrie Gloria
Gloria Holy
Holy, Holy
Gloria
DEAR FATHER
Dear Farther
We dream
We dream
We dream
While we may
Who are we to need
We need
We need
While we wait
While we wait

ReplyDeletemilli this is a week of classics..Richard Bachs classic story has endeared readers since it came out...the words on the image capture the essence of the story a seagulls search for a higher meaning than just the squabble for food ....neil diamond always rocks..ive never seen the movie but have read this classic...a great shot of what we hear affectionately call a flying rat lol...great post
ReplyDeleteGators Triple
Play #14
I don't understand the overwhelming need I had to read and digest each word.
ReplyDeleteMilli, just like the beer, you reach the parts where no one has been.
Bless you.
ha ha ....I can't help get the feeling, Milli, that this is from a comment I passed the other day, mentioning Johnathon Livingston Seagull.......
ReplyDeleteLOL@flying rat...I find the seagulls an amusing lot...of course Richard Bach obviously found much more in this humble little sea bird. Thanks Gary you always place a smile on my dial with your comments. A very classic week it was this week.
ReplyDeleteBill you make it all worth the while...Bless You. xo
ReplyDeleteLOL subliminally yes I did Peter. Hope that you enjoyed my interpretation here.
ReplyDeleteOh Mia My...I am sorry to have repeated a theme but then again maybe it was due again and as always such a great classic with such expansive meaning. I thank you so much for being such a good sport and I know that your post is also a wondrous presentation, and just as this topic deserves.
ReplyDeleteI really love this photo - truly a stunner!! I am not sure if you played with this but the tones and the movement of the bird and waves give an amazing energy - really well done milli - I will make it my desktop for a while!
ReplyDeleteI did not need to play with this other than what is obvious Keith. Frame and text I was fortunate to have a perfect light for the shot. The camera was on auto and this was the result..I would love for you to use it and hope that it is the right size for your desk top...
ReplyDeleteLove this. More gold water and the reflection of the gull is fantastic.
ReplyDeleteSmiles of thanks Lynda....
