Milli loves this place so much

She wants to go there, Quick Quick Quick!

 

Tell me who would not love to be in such a natural and wonderful environment?

I can imagine it now--

 

We drifted down the winding old waterway

Where green forest trees meet right to the waters edge

The sun part hidden by a few big white fluffy clouds on this day

As I watched in awe, huge bald eagles perched high, upon a ledge.

I dreamed of staying in this wilderness and my dream was about to come true

Because as our river boat rounded a wide sweeping bend

Our new home, the old wooden boat house finally came into view

And our splendid day trip in the river boat was now about to end.

We moored the boat beside the protruding jetty

Excitedly scrambling ashore

I looked at her she seemed to acknowledge me and I said "Betty"

"They call the old boat house Betty!"

"This is perfect!" " How Could one ask for more!"

So for three wonderful weeks I roamed the forest floor

I fished from the jetty in the morning

And then back again at four.

I paddled around the rivers edge just as the sun was dawning

Watching the silhouettes of the wild creatures darting through the forest

Then I would return to the wooden deck for my breakfast, early in the morning

I appreciated that I was in a peaceful paradise

And understood fully, what it was like to be truly blessed.

It would be difficult to leave Betty and this special slice

Of God's Own Country, where one feels fully alive and totally refreshed!
