Poem Posse # 20 # Harry Horse

Hot Breath, I Love You So!

Poem Posse this week and Something Different.

Alliteration.

This is repetition of the same consonant  sound at the beginning of a word. This is a classic example:  'Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers.'

Beyond three lines, there is no required length beyond that point. If you choose to write a longer alliteration, so be it. Have fun with this, conjure up images with a single letter of your choosing ... just remember, use any consonant in the alphabet, not a vowel.

  6. Very good, Milli! I think one of my favorites was in a Donovan song many long years ago, it went: A sailing ship was soon seen sailing swift and silent around the sound.

  7. Great choice of consonant "H" whose mysteries in English have always escaped me. I'd love to hear this one read aloud by English speakers of each continent!
