Picture Perfect Gob Smacked.

This photo I took a while ago when I was playing around with sepia settings on my camera.

You might well ask why it represents Gob Smacked to me?

The beautiful hand crafted aluminium bowl in the image, sitting on the table with the books next to it, is my reason for being Gob Smacked.

It was a few years ago and I was attending a business conference hosted by the company for whom I work. Awards were being presented at the Gala Dinner and as I was sitting and watching, engrossed in the moment, my own name was called out to come up to the stage and be presented with this award.

It was a milestone award presented for sales in excess of $250,000 with the company.

Yes you guessed it this was my Gob Smacked Moment, because I had not been aware of  my achievements until the presentation.

So there you have it  I had been totally Gob Smacked and now this photo represents my achievement in the form of the beautiful keepsake bowl.

The reflection on the bowl actually shows me taking the photo and the book titles next to it are in hindsight relevant.
