I found this beautiful image whilst surfing the net for interesting images and as I looked at it from the perspective of a writer, I felt compelled to write a verse about it as there was so much that the painting wanted to elicit from inside of me.
Cheers Milli.
My attempt is here:
Passages.
Ashes to ashes, dust to dust
I have left this mortal sphere
This final passage, I am the dust
This was my souls journey
My life on this mortal plane
Now ended is this earthly passage for me
It is my legacy to my kin whom I have now left
That you are entrusted with my ashes, so please feel peace
Because I know in your sincere hearts, you are surely bereft
As a baby girl child I entered
This earthly garden of hopes, dreams and desires
All in good faith though I was eternally flawed
I carried the burdens of those before
And the dreams of those to come
Relationships were to be my metaphor
They taught me understanding and love
That my own special being was a glorious gift
And those held near and dear were all sent from above.
What was so special and held close by heart
Will now be left blessed by my legacy of love
As for this time being, we shall dwell apart
This was my souls journey
My life on this mortal plane
Now ended is this earthly passage for me
Passages of life as child, woman then mother
Of the nurtured the nurturing and the external struggles
Lives lived fruitfully, deservedly, with one another.
Don't be sad as I now sleep in my heaven above
Remember my struggles, my triumphs and indomitable Spirit
In the golden glow of surrender to Light, Peace and Love.
This was my souls journey
My life on this mortal plane
Now ended is this earthly passage for me
