Dear Diary Day 2
We have a motto.

Well Rita dug this one up and what a gritty lady she is. The real deal as we say back home. A truly amazing lady with a heart of gold and I know I struck gold when I made her friendship.
The day started out perfectly and Rita's post says all of that so I will stick to the nitty gritty bits here. First of all speaking of nitty gritty, do you know she had us making or should I say crafting sand sculptures? Now I am a deft hand at the homegrown variety but these totally awesome sculptures well lets just say we did not make them all on our own. I am actually very good at carting the sand in the buckets and the water needed to make these awesome displays. Enough said, but the results were stunning and so were the beaches.
I have come to realise that everything seems bigger in Texas. In fact IT is all bigger. Take the food for example. No such thing as a small serve, everything is super sized. I know that I have been wrapping the extra chips up to throw to the sea gulls. They seem to have a real love for the fried pieces of potato chips. Something else The Hamburgers I think are made for the Giant Gulliver not the little Lilliputian friends, that's for sure.
Another quick remark about the food even though they say "Some like it hot" in the movies that is, I say "Jalapenos burn my mouth LOL" and Rita replies "Oh Jalapenos are the hot spice that flavours everything. From the eggs in the am to the Brisket BBQ I guess I will get used to them. Sigh!! Please read the title of my main photo as "Holy Hammerhead, this is great Jalapeno Sauce".
.
Rita tells me the palm trees I am seeing everywhere are called Royal Palms and they to are huge.
Well para sailing was just too good and I loved the smell of the fresh ozone air on the wind as it blows onto my face.
Beautiful it was as we sat in tandem, under the big colourful silk parachute. Flying through the air over the sea. The only part that was not so grace full was the landing as we went Ka Plonk!!!Splash!!! leaving us both soaked to the skin, in sea water.. LOL. Oh well the joys of flying.
Rita is a dear she is first up and the coffee is always ready by the time I stumble out. She tells me tomorrow we are off bright and early, however it still does not stop us from talking way into the warm and breezy nights.
Do you know dear diary? I could very easily get used to this condo life by the seaside.

The photo below is of my own local beach and the home grown variety of sand castle we construct there on summer days.
Wow! That is some sandcastle, Milli. What a beautiful beach; you can see the hills way at the back. Gorgeous.
