For You My Cavalier Lover.

 

I wrote this Verse as a challenge and it contains these designated words below. All must be included into the poem.

 

Fallow, Rendezvous, Innocence, Cavalier, Apocalyptic, Twinkling, Minion,  Synergy.

 

My verse tells a story of a time gone by when men were taken from their loved ones to distant places where they fought hard for their flags.

Leaving their loved ones and their hopes and dreams at home, or back on the farm.

It is with sadness and regret that even up until this day we are still losing our hero's in this way.

 

 

For You My Cavalier Lover

 

Tip toeing across the fallow earth

I remembered a time of thick green turf

A time before apocalyptic consequence

Here am I recalling in all my innocence

A million twinkling stars in the heavens above

My Cavalier lover and I, so much in love

This rendezvous we planned to see

As we bade goodbye, and you kissed me

Now a shattered dream of home and soil

As a minion in hard times I toil

All synergy was lost that day

When you my love, you went away

As war so often does intrude

I lost you to this interlude

I now stand alone here in this field

Yet not to fate will I ever yield

Alone I bring hope, our dreams renew
