Picture Perfect ~ Up Close and Personal ~

Beware All those who suffer from the fear of spiders.

Arachnophobia.

Our Garden Hunstman Spider below, made its home deep within these funnel type plants. I had to find him with the help of my sister because he resides there in her back yard. Once we located him, it was patience needed by us both as we waited for him to come closer to my camera. Below is the result. As close as I was willing to get to our hairy legged friend.

Picture Perfect Tour Here.

  4. Did you know they say that the Daddy Long Legs ISN'T a spider? That's what I've heard! It doesn't have the requisite number of legs, for one thing!

LOL However I feel that he is a huntsman and will have to check with my sis in the morning. Anyway whatever it is..It is certainly a spider LOL. We grow em big down here.

  15. Did you see the movieARACNOPHOBIA??
if you did, can you remember the brown spiders with the black faces?
In the movie, they were portrayed as extremely venomous...but in reality, they're the only known spider, without a poison sac.....
they are actually a Avondale spider, from New Zealand,,,, my nephew and his friends were paid a dollar for every one they could catch....
    Just to make that movie........

  28. Well worth the wait for this great photo..........I used to be fearful of all creepy creatures that scurried along at a fast speed.....escpecially Huntsmen that jumped onto the floor near me when I was lying there reading................they were scary. I am still careful but my respect has grown along with my fascination.
