Picture Perfect ~ My Favourite Photo.

I started out in photography being partial to Sunsets and Sunrises and even now I will run for a good Sunset Photo.

This one taken some time ago, still comes up as a favourite for many reasons.

Like most of you here viewing these PP photos I have many favourites..maybe too many..  Sometimes there is something very special about the moments leading up to when we take our photos. This moment I would call a connection.

At the time I took this photo, daylight was leaving and night time shadow was closing in around me As I watched the sun set and felt the peace and calmness of a gorgeous evening settling in all around I felt that connection to the moment and it remains evident in my photo every time I view it. I hope it conveys the same to you.

Enjoy!

  1. A quick note.. there is a green flare in the centre of this fav photo on mine and I realise it is not technically perfect however it still remains a fav.

  2. Where did my post go? I've already done this once... LOL - I love this photo, but how did the sun show through the piling like that? Looks like it's burning through! Another mystery...

  7. As you can see there are holes in the pylons and yes I shot the sun through the hole in that pylon..the hole was not huge but the sun's rays came through perfectly.

  12. Wonderful wonderful wonderful.
Green flare? Can't see it but if there is so what?
One expect colour temperature changes in the shadow areas at sunset.
Noted your comment about the hole but that is the cherry on the cake.
    Wonderful.
